Can you count the many artist that came from Houston Texas & the surrounding areas since the1940s to the  Present?.  The figure is staggering, count them for yourself.  We here in Houston Texas celebrate the coming and going beginnings and endings for example:  The birth of little miss "Blue Ivy Carter" and the death of a "Texas Blues Legend Big Walter Price" "The Thunderbird" who lived to be 97 years young.  The Shape Center located at 3903 Almeda Street in Houston Texas and Saba Records will have a celebration of life and a memorial for the last artist of the Don Robey/Peacock era.  "The First Annual Bronze Peacock Awards"
